Welcome to the website for St Oswald’s Catholic Infant School. After the retirement of Mrs O’Brien in the summer I would like to introduce myself as the Acting Head teacher of the infants, my name is Mrs Walsh and I am honoured and privileged to have been asked to lead the infant school.
St Oswald’s Catholic Infant school is a warm and welcoming community; as a Catholic school we are deeply aware of the unique nature of each individual and the purpose that each one of us has in following Jesus. Our mission statement encapsulates what we aim to provide:-
“Growing within our community to love, learn and live following the light of God”
We aim to ensure that all children grow to love their learning, that they are happy in school. We are committed to ensuring that every pupil receives learning that enables them to attain the highest levels of achievement possible and that we provide a stepping stone for a positive future for all of them.
We have incredibly happy children, a dedicated staff who provide a creative curriculum which is exciting and fun that is enriched through first hand experiences. We are very well supported by our parents, governors, PTA and other members of the local community.
This website is important in ensuring communication with parents and carers and hope that it will help to share some of the important things going on in school and the exciting developments planned for the future. It will be continually updated so I hope you will find it enjoyable, interesting and informative.
I look forward to a positive relationship with all families, if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact school so that these can be addressed.
