[Year 5] Liverpool Landmarks
In our Geography lessons we have been learning all about our home city of Liverpool. In this lesson we used the iPads to find the location of famous Liverpool landmarks and labelled them on our own maps of the city.
[Year 5] Origami Instructions
In our Literacy lessons, we followed instructions to make origami shapes. The imperative verbs helped us to know what actions we would be doing and the diagrams helped us to know what it should look like at each stage.
[Year 5] Roald Dahl
To celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday, we followed instructions to create BFG-inspired ‘Snozzcumber Sandwiches’ and ‘Whizzpopper Cakes’. We read an extract from the book and followed instructions to create our BFG treats!
[Year 5] Maths
In Year 5 we have been learning about using place value and powers of 10. We used our knowledge of counting forwards and backwards in powers of 10 to complete a multiplication and division to the powers of 10 jigsaw.
