Reading Bingo Challenge Letter

Dear Parents/Carers

Reading Bingo Challenge

We are taking part in a ‘Reading Bingo Challenge’ to encourage the children to read for pleasure.  The competition will close on 5th March (World Book Day).

There are 14 different coloured football shirts on the bingo challenge card.  For every 5 goals (5 books) a pupil scores (reads) our school will be entered to win an activity day or resources from Everton in the Community such as glow in the dark dodgeballs or a day of football coaching for the school.

Children will be entered into a prize draw for bringing in photographs of the most adventurous place they have read in and those who have tried to complete the most challenges.

Your child’s bingo card must be returned to their teacher on 5th March where it will then be sent to the organisers for the prize draws.

This is a super fun challenge for all ages to enjoy.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs L Hindley
Literacy Coordinator

Everton vs Liverpool Women’s Letter

Dear Parents / Guardians,

As I am sure you are aware, school has close links with Everton Football Club. They have kindly provided the school with complementary tickets for Sunday 9th February Women’s Derby due to take place at Goodison Park. On this date a parent will need to accompany their child to the football match and stay with them for the duration of the game. Everton vs Liverpool will kick off at 2pm.

Unfortunately, we only have 10 sets of tickets (ie 1 child, 1 adult), names will be entered into a draw. Please complete the slip (attached below) to register your interest and be entered into the draw. Tickets will be drawn on Friday 7th February and parents will be informed. Please only enter the draw if your child has not been to a football match with school in the past.

Yours Sincerely,

Mr J Wall

Colomendy Reminder Letter

Dear Parents / Carers,

I am sure you are aware that our annual residential to Kingswood, Colomendy is fast approaching.

I would just like to remind you that all outstanding balances for the trip are to be handed in via the school office or paid via WeDuc by Friday 28th February.

If for any reason your child no longer requires a place on this trip please notify Miss Hay as soon as possible. We must stress that if all outstanding payments are not received by Friday 28th February then your child will jeopardise their place and in turn will lose their £40 non-refundable deposit.

Thank you for your co-operation and support.

Miss D Hay
Deputy Head Teacher

Y3 & Y4 Disco Letter

Dear Parents/Carers,

The PTFA would like to invite your child to the Year 3 and 4 disco on Thursday 13th February 2020.

The disco will take place from 3.15pm – 4.30pm in the Junior Hall. Please ensure all children are picked up promptly 4.30pm. No children will be permitted to walk home on their own after the event.

Tickets for the event are priced at £3 and will be available for purchase on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th February in the Junior Hall.

As well as a professionally run disco, children will be provided with a hot dog or pizza, drink and a dessert for the £3 charge.

There will also be a limited tuck shop available if children wish to bring a small amount of money on the night.

If any parents who have not already done so wish to volunteer to help out on the night, the PTFA are always grateful of your support. Please contact the school Office if you think you could help out!

We hope your child enjoys the disco and thank you for your ongoing support with PTFA events in school.

6WL Class Assembly Time Letter

Dear Parents/Carers of Class 6WL,

Your child’s class assembly on Wednesday 5th February.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for changing the time so close to the event; this was unavoidable due to Third Space Learning. Your child’s assembly will now start at 2:00pm and will finish at approximately 2:30pm. Due to the earlier time slot, children will not be allowed to leave school once the assembly is finished.

Thank you for your co-operation and we look forward to seeing you next week.

Yours faithfully,

Miss D Hay
Deputy Headteacher
